Job Description

Perform initial-response screening following protocols approved by supervising provider.

Escort patient to room and prepare patient for examination, procedure, and treatment.

Obtain vital signs and record in the electronic health record (EHR).

Prepare, administer, and document medications and immunizations as ordered by the supervising provider.

Document care provided during patient visits in the EHR.

Enter medication, radiology, and lab orders in the electronic health record for provider sign off.

Educate patients within the scope of practice regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.

Critical Information

Shift Hours : Monday 8-5, Tuesday 8-5, Wednesday 8-4, Thursday 9-7, Friday 8-3, every 3rd Saturday 7-11 am.

On-site position; located in Family Medicine department.

Education / Licenses Needed

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience in clinical medical assisting.

Current BLS-C certification required.

Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
