About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Telemetry Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Experience : Minimum of 1 year License : RN License required Certifications : Basic Life Support Must-Have : Med / Surg Experience Description : This position is for a contract RN in a telemetry unit. Candidates will take 6 : 1 assignments, possibly 5 : 1. No on-call requirements are expected. Candidates must have Med / Surg experience to be considered. The unit has a total of 34 beds. The staff comprises 1 Charge Nurse, 6 Nurses, and 3 PCTs on the day shift, and 1 Charge Nurse and 6 Nurses on the night shift. Patient ratios are 1 : 6. Equipment utilized includes Welch Allyn Vital Signs monitors and GE Telemetry Monitoring. The electronic medical record system in use is MediTech. Preferred certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support and TNCC. Typical procedures performed include wound vac care, CPM machines, and external fixation bracing. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and team-oriented. The dress code requires navy scrubs. Awards and recognition include 1 ICARE Award winner and 4 Daisy Award winners.
