Job Description
We are seeking a licensed, bilingual (English–Spanish) Mental Health Therapist to provide school-based counseling services supporting students’ emotional, social, and behavioral success. This role partners closely with school staff, families, and community resources to ensure students receive timely and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct student intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and suicide / risk screenings.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy within the school setting.
- Develop and monitor student-centered treatment plans aligned with academic success.
- Coordinate care and maintain strong communication with parents / guardians, educators, and support staff.
- Respond to crisis situations and assist with safety planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state, licensing, and payer requirements.
- Participate in school-based meetings, consultations, and prevention initiatives.
Requirements
Active licensureMaster’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.Bilingual English–Spanish proficiency required.Experience working with children / adolescents.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.Familiarity with EHR / EMR systems and best practices in clinical documentation.
