What You'll Do : As a CNC Lathe Machinist , you’ll set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality parts that meet precise specifications. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will ensure quality and productivity in our advanced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities : Set up and operate CNC lathes to fabricate precision parts Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications Load / unload parts, change tooling, and make offset adjustments Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve machining issues Maintain and improve productivity, reduce setup time Adhere to ISO and Schafer Industries’ quality and safety procedures Maintain cleanliness and order through the 6S program What You Bring : 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience preferred Experience with HAAS machines (VF2, VF4, VF6, VF10) strongly preferred Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers, calipers, and gauges Basic computer skills and effective communication in English Authorized to work in the United States Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform routine manufacturing tasks Why Join Schafer Industries?
