Minimum Job Requirements
Physical - Sedentary work, proficient in using a PC keyboard and computer.Working Hours - fulltime (40+ hrs / week) employment.Personal Traits - Excellent communication skills with positive teamwork and safety attitude. Ability to interface and communicate effectively with various department personnel and supervisors. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy while able to multi-task and trouble shoot.Display good leadership qualities. Be a role model for all departments and set the standard of productivity, safety, and quality for employees of different levels to follow.Job Duties and Responsibilities
The position is responsible for managing customer relationships, including working with customers to address and develop effective solutions. This position will negotiate and close business deals and provide sales oversight to ensure targets are met. This position will also help with development of new markets and customers. This position will review customer requirements and provide a quotation for a metal manufacturer while ensuring the profitability of products quoted by routinely reviewing job travelers to ensure allocated processing times are either met or adjusted. Review drawings and all other documents that provide requirements and specifications and get clarification from customer, as needed.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.Serve as the primary interface between the customer and the company.Provide technical advice on manufacturability of and cost reduction ideas for customer products.Oversee the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensure that sales targets and profitability are met or exceeded.Provide and support continuous improvements to the quoting and contract review processes.Identify new business opportunities and work on product development project to meet business growth strategies.Negotiate contracts and close business dealsMaintain knowledge of current markets and trends to provide informed recommendations to the company.Prepare reports on account status, sales activities and forecasts to management, as requested.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to interface with customers and apply customer concepts or blueprints to a manufacturing method or determine manufacturing feasibility and pricingStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsTeam collaborationKnowledge and experience in metal / machine shop techniques and manufacturing process flow.Advanced knowledge in using an ERP system, Epicor preferred.Ability to read, understand and explain schematics, blueprints and / or technical manuals.Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.Travel up to 30% of the time may be required.Education and Experience
