If you thrive on building strong journalist relationships, enjoy media training executives, and are energized by live interviews and media tours, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of integrated media relations strategies. This includes audience analysis, message development, media targeting, and hands-on pitching-both independently and with team support.
Leverage existing relationships and build new ones with key journalists and editors across broadcast, print, and digital platforms. Proven ability to secure coverage in top-tier outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, Fast Company, NPR, FinTech TV, NYSE Live, and Yahoo TV.
Prepare and accompany C-suite executives through high-stakes media engagements, including live TV appearances, desk-side briefings, and multi-day in-person tours in major markets such as New York, D.C., and Chicago.
Create and shape newsworthy narratives that go beyond canned messaging-delivering stories that resonate authentically with journalists and audiences.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of newsroom dynamics and editorial priorities. Anticipate journalists' needs and align pitches with their coverage areas.
Support media relations efforts across the agency, whether leading entire programs or offering strategic support. Mentor junior team members and help cultivate the next generation of media pros.
Utilize existing media tracking and engagement platforms. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging tools that improve efficiency and impact in media relations work.
Act with urgency to address media opportunities and challenges. Contribute strategic counsel to internal teams and clients alike.
Meet billable hour targets and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in all workstreams.
