Responsibilities
- Safety / PPE - follows company procedures with use of material in equipment per manufacturers' company directions. Follow and enforce all company safety policies.
- Needs to be able to operate a forklift
- Needs to be able to read a tape measure due to the amount of measuring that is required
- Check alignment of rolls to reduce the risk of glue overspray
- Monitor the glue levels so it doesn’t run empty
- Check the glue applicators to ensure material is being applicated properly
- Cores need to be cut manually and checked for the proper alignment before they are loaded and used for the finish cut rolls
- Good housekeeping to prevent and contamination and to have a safe working environment
- Quality - Ensures quality by continually looking for any abnormality and reporting it timely.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience is required.Must possess good problem-solving skills,Basic math skillsGood interpersonal skillsWorking harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a “can do” attitude is critical to successMust be able to lift up to 50lbs on a somewhat frequent basisEnvironment
Work area is a manufacturing environment which is NOT climate-controlled year round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.12 Hour Rotating 2-2-3
