Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary :
- MLR is seeking a skilled and passionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dynamic and expanding hospital in Illinois. In this role, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of a radiologist, working independently without constant oversight of technical aspects. The technologist adheres to ALARA principles and all regulatory standards to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications :
Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with associated certificate or degree.One (1) year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.IEMA License in Nuclear Medicine.ARRT(NM) or NMTCB registry requiredMaintains Basic Life support certification.Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities :
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to obtain images.Position patients correctly and ensure patient comfort during procedures.Follow protocols to obtain high-quality images and maintain patient records.Monitor patients during imaging procedures and address any adverse reactions.Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.Maintain compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection measures.Perform quality control tests on equipment and maintain inventory of radiopharmaceuticals.Educate patients and families about procedures and address any concerns.Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology.Adhere to ethical and professional standards, including patient confidentiality.Apply Today for immediate consideration!
