Mid-South Care Services is currently in search of a Payroll and Billing Coordinator to join its team.. Mid-South Care Service provides Home and Community Based and Staffing Services for West TN. Mid-South Care Services that provides community living supports, personal care, housekeeping, transportation and other non-medical services to seniors and other people with disabilities as well as staffing services to various facilities. The Payroll and Billing Coordinator would be responsible for accurately paying employees and contractors as well as billing clients in all systems in addition to working AR and assisting Human Resources in tasks.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Monitor scheduling system daily for timekeeping / payroll / billing accuracy
  • Monitor scheduling / claims system daily to ensure employees are clocking in and out accurately
  • Work closely with scheduling team to ensure accuracy of timekeeping / payroll / billing
  • Train (and sometimes reprimand) employees who are not following company policies and procedures for timekeeping
  • Collect weekly timesheets
  • Verify time reported in scheduling system
  • Prepare reports and Excel spreadsheets for submission to 3rd party payroll processing company on a bi-weekly basis
  • Review new hire paperwork and submit to 3rd party payroll processing company
  • Answer employee calls regarding payroll questions and concerns
  • Answer client calls regarding billing questions and concerns
  • File / submit insurance claims daily
  • Create and send private pay and other long-term care insurance invoices on a bi-weekly basis
  • Process insurance company remittances
  • Manage accounts receivable to avoid write-offs, including working with clients on past due balances
  • Process and monitor disputes for denied insurance claims
  • Review / verify new authorizations for services
  • Other tasks as needed to support the organization
