About The Position

Job Title : CVOR Tech

Profession : Surgical Technologist

Specialty : Operating Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour days

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required

License : CST required

Certifications : BLS required (AHA only)

Must-Have : Ability to scrub hearts and non-CVOR cases (orthopedic and general)

Description :

Under the perioperative leader, the Surgical Technologist assumes responsibility and accountability for ensuring quality care as a member of the healthcare team within the perioperative environment.

The scope of responsibility includes anticipating, planning for, and responding to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members.

This position requires maintaining confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians.

The role includes working in various surgical environments, requiring flexibility and the ability to adapt to different procedures and team dynamics.

Call is required, both during the week and on weekends, with approximately one weekday / night call every 7-10 days and full weekend call every 5-6 weeks.

The Surgical Technologist must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.

This position is critical in supporting surgical teams and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
