POSITION : Strategy and Policy Analyst
LOCATION : Tampa, FL
STATUS : Full time Contingent Hire
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education : Bachelors Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security / Defense Studies, Strategic Studies, or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 10 years of professional military, defense, or government experience, with at least 5 years in strategy, policy, or campaign planning roles at the Combatant Command (CCMD) or Service Component level. Familiarity with U.S. strategic guidance documents (e.g., National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, National Military Strategy) and their relationship to Joint and Service-level doctrine.
- Citizenship and Clearance : U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance.
- Travel : Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support contingency planning, exercises, and operational events.
- Skills : Mastery of the English language and exceptional writing and communication skills required. Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare and present strategic assessments, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Masters Degree in National Security Affairs, Strategic Studies, Defense Policy, or related discipline preferred.Educational Training : Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I or service-equivalent professional military education (e.g., Command and Staff College, Naval War College, Air Command and Staff College) highly desirable. Formal education or coursework in strategy, policy, or campaign planning (e.g., Joint Advanced Warfighting School, Marine Corps School of Advanced Warfighting) is a plus.PRIMARY DUTIES :
Provide expertise in strategy and policy analysis, including alignment of Service-level and Component-level strategies with Combatant Command, Joint, and National-level strategies.Lead with experience supporting development of strategy and policy documents, plus, campaign and posture plans, programs, requirements, and concept development.Provide monitoring, reviewing, and interpreting Joint, Service, and CENTCOM-level doctrine, ensuring compliance and component-level approval.Lead drafting assessments, information papers, position papers, and briefs for senior leaders.Support and coordinate high-level events such as Executive Off Sites (EOS), CENTCOM Commanders Conferences (CCC), Component-level presentations for COMUSMARCENT, experience serving on or supporting Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and working groups within a Service Component or Combatant Command.Facilitate coordination across staff sections and action officers to ensure integrated policy and planning products.LTC Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
