Glen Park Senior Living is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers / Medication Technicians to assist our residents in daily living activities and provide essential medication management.

Job Summary :

  • As a Caregiver / Medication Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily needs of our residents in an Assisted Living Facility, providing medication administration, and ensuring the comfort and safety of residents under your care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Medication Administration : Administer medications to residents in compliance with Title 22 regulations and physician instructions.
  • Monitor residents' medication records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician / Administrator.

    • Basic Care Assistance :

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.

    • Order and Reorder Medications :

  • Ensure residents have timely access to medications by placing and tracking medication orders.

    • Documentation & Communication :

  • Maintain accurate, progressive documentation and regularly communicate with physicians and medical professionals.

    • Resident Scheduling :

  • Schedule and coordinate doctor’s appointments for residents as needed.

    • Engagement and Support :

  • Work with medical professionals to promote resident engagement, reduce pain, and maintain independence.

    • Maintain a Safe Environment :

  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff.

    • Emergency Response :

  • Stay composed and take appropriate action during emergencies.

    • For Residents with Developmental Disabilities :

  • Align performance with the facility’s Program Design.
  • Complete specialized training for working with these residents.
  • Achieve goals outlined in each resident's Individual Program Plan (IPP).
  • Maintain detailed progress notes to track accomplishments of IPP objectives.

    • What We Require :

  • Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance CPR / First Aide Certificate Negative TB Test and Health Screening  In-person work location at Glen Park at Long Beach, located at 1046 E 4th St, Long Beach, CA 90802 Available Shifts : Has open availability Hourly Rate : $19-21 / hour Comprehensive Benefits Package : Dental and vision benefits Medical plan options  Paid vacation time Paid sick leave Life insurance coverage Paid Selected Holidays, including major holidays, so you can enjoy quality time with your loved ones Benefits are provided according to company policy and are subject to the terms outlined in the employee handbook.
