The Senior Manager, U.S. Security Operations, New England is a member of UnitedHealth Group's (UHG) Corporate Security team, reporting to the Associate Director, U.S. Security Operations. Corporate Security is responsible for the Enterprise Workplace Security Program that ensures the protection of the companys global workforce and physical assets through security risk management platforms. The Senior Manager, U.S. Security Operations, will be accountable for the representation of Corporate Security and its workplace security programs for the business segments in the identified regions of CT & MA in the United States. The Senior Manager, U.S. Security Operations, will support the overall Corporate Security mission and to enable the success, sustainability, and scalability of the entire enterprise workplace security program. The Senior Manager, U.S. Security Operations will also be accountable for building and maintaining strong internal partnerships with key stakeholders to include but not limited to : Global Crisis Management (GCM); Enterprise Information Security (EIS); Corporate Communications; Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (EOHS); Human Capital / Employee Relations; LCRA (Compliance, Employment Law, Litigation and Privacy); Global Travel; UHC Global Risk; Real Estate Services (RES); Audit team; business stakeholders; and external partners as needed.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Partner with business leadership to understand the business strategy, operations, and security needs
- Facilitate the delivery of quality, best practice security services and solutions across the enterprise in the region, to include providing business leaders with interpretation of CapEx and OpEx impact
- Identify and communicate to leadership strategic business requirements related to security; geopolitical, security and regulatory risk trends; and proposed short-term and long-term solutions
- Champion security solution integration with the business and partnership with the Global Risk Management CoE in alignment with Corporate Securitys governance and operating model
- Support Corporate Security team in response to critical security incidents, threats, and crises. (e.g., workplace violence, armed assailant, civil unrest, political conflict, criminal acts, etc.)
- Communicate and implement the overarching vision, strategy, and operational plans across the region in alignment with the overall company and departmental strategies
- Collaborate with Corporate Security Integrations team to ensure effective and efficient security integration and transfer of relationship lead responsibilities for newly acquired and integrated businesses
- Provide significant partnership with business leaders in the region to support their security needs
- Measure and communicate to the business the performance and effectiveness of the U.S. Security Operations [region] program using key indicators, metrics, and data
- Deliver solid, complex problem-solving, critical thinking and objective analysis through difficult, complex and / or critical scenarios and issues; act as a strategic advisor to the Associate Director, U.S. Security Operations [region] on security and business risk, identifying challenges as well as solutions

- Drive awareness of Corporate Security and resources across the enterprise; enables the cultivation of a mature security culture across the enterprise through strategic training and awareness initiatives
- This role will require after hours on-call availability and up to 25% travel
Required Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in security risk management, intelligence, law enforcement, and / or military3+ years of experience collaborating with multiple businesses and leaders3+ years of proven track record in managing workplace security operations and programs3+ years of expertise in handling complex security risks in a domestic business environment3+ years experienced in crisis management and responding to critical incidents3+ years experienced in engaging with senior leadership and fostering trusted relationships3+ years experienced in collaborating with internal and external partners for effective solutionsProficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)After hours on-call availability and ability to travel up to 25%Must live in the New England territory area CT or MAPreferred Qualifications :
Proven skilled in navigating large, matrixed organizations with solid business acumenProven collaborative approach with business leaders to drive operational changesProven exceptional interpersonal skills for working with diverse individuals at all organizational levelsProven ability to process and disseminate multiple streams of information effectivelyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
