The ideal Geotechnical candidate will have the following experience :
Strong writing and verbal communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, clients, and contractorsPlanning and Inspecting activities alongside clients, colleagues, and contractors to ensure project structural and / or geotechnical requirements and / or limitations are achievedProviding constant feedback to clients, colleagues, and contractors during the planned construction activitiesDocumenting construction activities with written reports, construction drawing mark-ups, photographsUsing AutoCAD software preferred but not requiredUsing Slide 2 software preferred but not requiredUsing RSlog software preferred but not requiredUsing and troubleshooting field equipment such as, sampling tools, moisture-density testing equipmentDeveloping and interpreting construction drawings and specificationsDeveloping and interpreting geotechnical, structural, and / or environmental field investigations (e.g., monitoring and sampling)This opportunity requires :
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or related field preferred but not requiredExperience
Minimum of 5 years of progressive industrial, commercial and / or highway construction inspectionCertifications
Moisture-nuclear density DOT trainingEIT / PE preferred but not requiredNICET level 2 or above, preferred but not required
