Pay Range : $21.45-$29.00
General Responsibilities :
The Pharmacy Technician II works collaboratively as a part of the Primary Care inter-professional team, which includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, nurse care managers, behavioral health specialists, and other clinical staff. The Pharmacy technician works independently in an office setting, and reports directly to the SCH Clinical Pharmacist. Responsibilities include managing prescription refill requests using the electronic record, and authorizing appropriate requests using the medication refill protocol. The pharmacy technician will complete prior authorizations on behalf of the providers at SCMG Primary Care. The pharmacy technician will act as a liaison between providers, insurance companies, and pharmacies to ensure our patients receive their medications in a timely manner. The pharmacy technician will have other responsibilities as determined by the scope of the practice.
