Chaplain

Description

Responsible, supportive work providing spiritual and emotional care during times of crisis to patient, families, and staff of Swedish Edmonds. The On call chaplain also acts as liaison between patients / families and community clergy. The On call chaplains together provide coverage 24 / 7, 365 days per year. Work performed is in a relief capacity on an intermittent and sporadic basis.

Required Qualifications :

• Coursework / Training and Completion of 2 units of CPE.
• M. Divinity or
• Equivalent degree. (CPE requirement may be substituted by equivalent work experience.)
• Within 3 years of hire National Chaplain Certification
• 3 years of experience in ministry
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting
