Job descriptionSupervise a highly competent Nurse Practitioner who manages all established follow-up patients. No new patients are seen during coverage. No interventional procedures are required. Review and co-sign documentation as required by Florida regulations. The clinic's owner and full-time physician will remain fully available for any clinical questions or guidance during coverage. Malpractice coverage will be provided for all patients seen during the coverage period. We maintain a clean, compliant, and well-regulated practice : Fully aligned with Florida Board of Medicine , DEA , and state pain clinic regulations Consistently passing all annual inspections. Treating only scheduled and referred patients — no walk-ins Strictly following safe prescribing standards with no unnecessary opioid prescribing. Physicians seeking occasional, low-stress coverage opportunities Physicians looking to maintain licensure and prescribing activity with minimal workload Physicians practicing in Panama City or nearby areas who want a convenient supplemental role Flexible schedule
Our outpatient pain management clinic is seeking a Florida-licensed physician to provide as-needed coverage when the primary clinic physician is on vacation.
About the Position
- Any Florida-licensed physician with privilege to prescribe controlled substances (including opioids)
- This is a light-duty position which is ideal for :
- Retired or semi-retired physicians
- Physicians who prefer occasional, low-intensity work
- Physicians currently practicing in the Panama City or close by area who would like to add flexible coverage work alongside their existing practice.
