AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Hydraulic / Roadway Drainage Engineer, with 5+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Raleigh, NC office. The right candidate would lead water resources engineering tasks for transportation-related projects for NCDOT and North Carolina localities. Typical design tasks include stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics and other water resource engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Completion of calculations, reports and plans in support of transportation projects including stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels and bridge hydraulics
• Perform Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis and reporting
• Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction
• Work in collaboration with a Transportation design team comprised of other disciplines and support staff on multi-disciplinary projects
• Provide QA / QC review following AMT and client-based procedures
