Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Title : RN L&D

Location : Eureka, California, 95501

Contract duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3X12 -hours

Schedule : Days

Key Responsibilities :

• Full scope of Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care
• Circulating for C-sections
• High-risk deliveries and OB triage
• Administration of blood products
• Antepartum & Couplet Care
• EFM (External & Internal Fetal Monitoring, IUPC, Spiral Electrode)
• Medications : Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Terbutaline, Anticoagulants, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips
• Procedures : Amniocentesis, Cesarean Section, Cervical Cerclage, Forceps / Vacuum, D&C, Circumcision assist
• Newborn care : APGAR scoring, Phototherapy, Hypoglycemia management, Breastfeeding & lactation support, Car Seat & Discharge Education
• Emergency response : Postpartum Hemorrhage, Hemorrhage / Shock, Abnormal fetal heart rate interpretation
Requirements :
• RN License
• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate
