Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

The\nProduction Supervisor with Siemens Energy Blades and Vanes division will oversee\nmanufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production\nwhile managing the production team. This role includes supervising employees,\nscheduling, line balancing, and monitoring quality, efficiency, and compliance\nwith Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Acting as the primary\ncontact for production issues, the supervisor fosters teamwork and drives\nprocess improvements. Strong leadership skills are essential for success in\nthis role.

How\nYou’ll Make an Impact

• Ensure\nsafe work practices are followed by all manufacturing personnel, addressing\ndeficiencies and taking corrective action as needed to maintain OSHA compliance\nand prioritize workplace safety.
• Study\ndaily operating results, meet with subordinates and supervisors to resolve\nproduction issues, and maintain cooperation between departments to ensure\nsmooth operations.
• Manage\nstaffing by ensuring correct workforce distribution, coordinating temporary\nstaffing needs, and overseeing training for all new or transferred employees.
• Monitor\nand evaluate overtime requirements, authorize vital overtime, track employee\nattendance records, and enforce company policies when needed.
• Assist\nin mediation of personnel issues, conduct disciplinary actions when required,\nand continuously coach and develop the production team to enhance skills and\nflexibility.
• Evaluate\nproduction reports and metrics, monitor customer production requirements,\ncoordinate schedule adjustments, and implement strategies to meet both short-\nand long-term business goals.

What\nYou Bring

• Bachelor’s\nin engineering with 5 years or associate degree with 8 or more years of work experience.
• 3\nor more years of direct supervisory/ leading experience in manufacturing and /\nor investment casting.
• 5\nor more years of manufacturing experience involving alignment, assembly work,\ncasting, welding and machining.
• Experience\nworking in a multi-disciplinary team environment, collaborating effectively\nwith diverse departments, and demonstrating strong proficiency with computers\nand Microsoft Office software for efficient workflow and reporting.
• Proven\nexperience in team building, conflict resolution with hourly manufacturing\nworkforce, addressing issues to maintain a positive and productive work\nenvironment.
• This\nposition may require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau\nof Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense\nTrade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this\nposition.
