Direct Support Professional With Med Support

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Med Support provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community. This position is responsible for assisting with medical appointments, stocking medical supplies, and assistance in keeping all medical documentation files up to date, as well as administering medications as prescribed by physician.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid / CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

Hours : 40 / Monday through Friday - 8 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm

Starting Salary : $24.51 to $26.77 per hour, for working at this location (which includes a $2.00 per hour differential over the Palmer Full-Time DSP with med support base salary range of $22.51 to $24.77), plus applicable shift differentials may be added.

Minimum Requirements :

• Acceptable NYS Driver's License
