Deco Printer Mechanic

Location :

Nichols, NY

Salary :

• We offer competitive pay starting at $31.42 to $36.14
• Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level

Hours :

Night shift position on a 2 / 2 / 3 scheduled of two days on then two days off then three days on. Then days on and off rotate the following week. This is a 12 hour shift.

RESPONSIBILIITIES :

• Operates the printer, trains and offers aid to other operators.
• Verifies proper setup of printer equipment...
• Inspects printers for quality defects in the manufacturing process.
• Performs label design changeover setups.
• Performs preventative maintenance assignments.
• Performs hourly quality control checks to ensure printer and related equipment is within specifications.
• Audits printer applications to ensure SOP specifications are met.
• Analyze spoilage, record causes and take corrective actions where applicable.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports all problems to supervision.
• Follows all SOP operating procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

Competencies :

• Candidate must successfully pass a Crown Color / Hue test.
• A high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
• An Associates / technical degree is preferred or a related vocational / technical certification (journeyman card, technical license, etc.).
• Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills and equipment re-build expertise are required for these roles.
• Experience in using controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment.
• High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers and related equipment.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• This position also requires the individual to be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.
• Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment.
