U.S. Army is hiring : Library Technician NF-02 in Houston

This position is located at MWR Library Services, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii (Island of Oahu)

Duties Provides technician support by performing a wide variety of direct services to the public : registers patrons, charges / discharges materials, processes overdues and reserve.

Assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials.

Provides technical services support in a variety of functions : basic / copy cataloging, ordering / receiving / processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials.

Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

Meet qualification / eligibility / background requirements for this position.

A one-year probationary period may be required.

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.

Incumbent may be required to work rotating shifts that include nights, weekends and holidays.
