Job descriptionWork in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital Patient population includes critically ill or injured pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular and post-operative heart cases Specialized procedures include central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations / extubations, CRRT, ECMO cannulations / decannulations, and chest exploration Equipment used includes Hamilton G5 ventilators, DirectLink ICP monitors, Artic Sun Targeted Temperature Management, and Baxter Prismaflex machines EMR : Epic, prior Epic experience required Night shift schedule : 3x12 hour shifts (19 : 00–07 : 30), weekends required Floating required within the hospital to NICU and pediatric units, but not to sister hospitals Responsibilities include caring for pediatric patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs and performing advanced bedside procedures as listed Team consists of board-certified pediatric intensivists, respiratory therapists, nutritionists, pharmacists, child life specialists, and more, providing 24 / 7 support Scrubs provided; no printed patterns allowed First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience Time off requests must be declared during application and may not exceed 2 weeks Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Completion of online learning modules is required prior to start Active Oregon RN license required (or proof of application submitted to the state licensing board) Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required, including experience in a Cardiac ICU or with post-op cardiac patients Current BLS and PALS certifications (NRP preferred) Epic EMR experience required Must provide two supervisor references from within the past 24 months (or one within 24 months and one within 3-5 years if unable to obtain both recent) COVID-19 vaccination required, no exemptions allowed No background or license violations accepted Return staff must have a 6-month gap before reapplying High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
