About This Job

As a Manager-In-Training (MIT), you will assist in the operations and management of a large indoor soccer facility, serving thousands of players, coaches, and trainers every year! You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, sales, and delegation of tasks to staff. You will report to the General Manager, and play a critical role ensuring every facility user is safe and having fun! Some travel is required; you must be available to travel out of town for up to two weeks at a time, at least once per quarter. This job requires experience in facility management and sales. You don't need to be an expert on indoor soccer, but any experience playing team sports is especially helpful!

What You Will Do

Assist in operating an indoor soccer facility to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and enjoyment for customers

  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage employees
  • Work with employees to develop them for career growth
  • Recruit new indoor soccer teams / leagues to use the facility, through phone and in-person sales
  • Market the facility and various indoor soccer leagues via email, USPS mail, and social media
  • Meet annual sales / revenue growth targets
  • Ensure proper collection of fees from players and teams using the facility
  • Make and carry out purchasing decisions for the regular operation of the facility
  • Deposit all cash payments from customers
  • Resolve complaints / conflicts involving customers

Requirements and Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in facility operations / management At least two years sales experience At least one year facility management experience in a leadership or supervisory position At least one year experience managing vendor relationships for a facility Completion of competency score on employment training exams Preferred : experience with playing, coaching, or managing soccer Preferred : customer service / complaint resolution experience Preferred : knowledge of team sports Preferred : business finance education or experience

Work Environment and Demands

This is an indoor sports facility. The noise level is usually loud. Working hours are 3 : 00 PM - 1 : 00 AM on weekdays, and 7 : 00 AM - 1 : 00 AM on weekends.
