Senior Helpdesk Technician / System Administrator
FedTec is seeking a skilled Senior Helpdesk Technician / System Administrator who will provide Tier I III IT support and systems administration for approximately 600 users and 1,000+ endpoint devices . This key personnel role is responsible for maintaining reliable end-user services across NIPRNET and SIPRNET environments, troubleshooting a wide range of hardware / software issues, managing accounts and Active Directory, and ensuring compliance with DoD and Army IT security standards.

Security Clearance : Verifiable DoD Secret (or Higher) is required
Certifications : DoD 8570 Compliant (IAT Level II or higher)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and manage a tiered helpdesk environment (Tier I III) supporting desktops, laptops, servers, mobile devices, peripherals, and AV equipment.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by Tier I / II technicians, providing advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Maintain and administer Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and other enterprise IT management tools.
- Manage and resolve service tickets using CA Help Desk and Remedy systems, ensuring compliance with required response times for General Officers, SES staff, senior leaders, and general users.
- Support and administer OCAR's Citrix environment, VMware / VSphere servers, and NAS storage solutions.
- Provide direct support for SIPRNET and NIPRNET systems, ensuring compliance with DoD 8140.01 / 8570.01 requirements.
- Assist in maintaining the Defense Enterprise Provisioning Online (DEPO) environment and account management processes.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity directives, STIGs, and patch management requirements, coordinating with Cybersecurity staff on vulnerability remediation.
- Provide input to disaster recovery and COOP planning for end-user services.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), system configurations, and troubleshooting methods.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to intermediate and junior helpdesk technicians.
Basic Qualifications Required Education, Certifications, Skills, and Experience
8+ years of progressive IT support experience, including Tier I III troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking issues in enterprise environments.Demonstrated experience supporting SIPRNET and NIPRNET systems.Strong expertise with Active Directory, SCCM, Citrix, VMware, DEPO, and ticketing systems (CA Help Desk / Remedy).Extensive hands-on experience with Windows OS administration, end-user support, patching, and enterprise tools.Experience supporting Army 365 / Office 365 environments (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook / Exchange Online).Experience providing VIP / Executive support to General Officers and SES staff.Knowledge of DoD and Army IT security standards, STIGs, and cybersecurity best practices.Experience with Army logistics, JSP / RNEC coordination, or other Army enterprise IT systems.Strong documentation and customer service skills, with ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical users.Minimum Citizenship Status Requirements : US CitizenWhen You Join FedTec, You Are Joining a Family!
