Position description
The UCLA Undergraduate Education Initiatives unit seeks one lecturer to teach in Winter Quarter 2026 in Academic Year 2025-26 for a lower division undergraduate course as part of the General Education UCLA Cluster Program.
This position includes team-teaching the lectures for Cluster M72, Sex : From Biology to Gendered Society, which examines the nature and meaning of sex and gender through the study of biology, psychology, anthropology, and social structure. The course engages students in active dialogue and debate to teach them to be fluent in interdisciplinary approaches involving multiple levels of analysis (micro-level, such as genes and hormones, to macro-level, such as social institutions and culture). This position will entail team coordination and contribution to generation of writing assignments, exam questions, and grading of student submissions.
UCLA has a diverse student population in one of the more diverse cities in the nation; we particularly seek candidates who have a strong track record of student success and engagement in large courses at a major research university, as reflected in student evaluations.
