Contract Length : 13 weeks

Start : 11 / 10

Guaranteed Hours : 36 (Will accept 48s upon request)

Primary location : Gateway

Shift Requirement : 12hr Days 6 : 30-7

Float Requirement : First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

On Call / Call Back Requirement : N / A

Weekend / Holiday Requirement : Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Required Certs to be attached upon submittal : Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS and NIHSS

Minimum Experience REQUIRED : Two years of strong Med / Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.

Charting Experience : Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

Patient Population : Chest pain, abdominal pain, flank plank, CVA / TIA, generalized weakness / awaiting placement / geri-psych placement.

Skillset : PIV insertion, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio) : 32 beds. Ratio : Days 1-4 : 5; NOCs 1 : 5-7; Excellent LPN and CNA support. CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes assignment on NOC shift.

Unit Strengths : Excellent teamwork with support of fantastic LPNs and CNAs.

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
