Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on the development and testing of metal materials, ensuring quality and performance standards are met for various applications. This role involves conducting failure analysis, metallurgical testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct metallurgical testing and analysis to assess material properties and performance.
  • Perform failure analysis to identify root causes of material-related issues.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to optimize material selection and processing.
  • Develop and implement heat treatment processes to enhance material properties.
  • Conduct corrosion engineering assessments and develop solutions to mitigate corrosion.
  • Analyze mechanical properties and microstructure of materials using advanced techniques.
  • Oversee metallurgical laboratory techniques and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Implement non-destructive testing methods to evaluate material integrity.
  • Support casting and forging processes, providing technical guidance to improve outcomes.
  • Assist in process engineering initiatives to refine production techniques and increase efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in materials science and metallurgy.
  • Strong knowledge of failure analysis techniques and metallurgical testing methods.
  • Familiarity with heat treatment processes and corrosion engineering principles
  • Experience with mechanical properties testing and microstructure analysis.
  • Proficient in welding techniques and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Knowledge of casting and forging processes and their optimization.
  • Experience in process engineering and quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
