About The Position

The Pediatric Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating room, ensuring the safety and comfort of pediatric and neonatal patients, and providing direct assistance to surgeons during procedures. This role requires proficiency in pediatric surgical techniques, instrumentation, and aseptic practices, as well as experience across multiple pediatric specialties, including neuro, ortho, urology, ENT, and ophthalmology .

Job Requirements

Minimum Experience : 2 years of pediatric OR scrub experience (neonate–adolescent)

Certifications : BLS (AHA only)

CST (NBSTSA) – Required (hard stop)

Education : Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program

or 2 years’ equivalent Surgical Technologist experience

Trauma Level I experience required

Preferred :

Teaching hospital or academic center experience

EPIC documentation familiarity
