Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a C2 Software Engineer to support a team focused on mission critical work revolutionizing the space industry. This individual will work alongside software developers, testers, and senior stakeholders to develop and integrate advanced software solutions for satellite environments. The C2 Software Engineer will work hybrid out of Seattle, WA, or Arvada, CO.

Responsibilities for the C2 Software Engineer include :

  • Develop and integrate software C2 solutions for satellite vehicles on a platform that enables users to operate large constellations
  • Support a team as they onboard new satellites into the platform, develop and integrate software solutions into the product suite, and more.
  • Develop in Rust and Python real-time embedded software and integrate hardware assets with the mission software platform.

Required Qualifications for the C2 Software Engineer include :

  • 4+ years of experience with software development focusing on Python / Rust
  • Experience supporting Command and Control (C2) environments and satellite communication protocols (CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP, data processing algorithms)
  • Understanding of encryption algorithms, telemetry definitions, DevSecOps / Kubernetes, and Git
  • Active TS / SCI
  • Bachelor's Degree

    • Compensation for the C2 Software Engineer include :

  • Salary Range : $120,000-180,000 depending on experience
  • Full Standard Benefits : PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k plan, Sick leave as required by law
