Description

We’re seeking a Product Owner for our Generative AI Chatbot . This role is focused on executing the chatbot strategy defined by product leadership, ensuring high-quality delivery of features, enhancements, and integrations. You will manage the chatbot backlog, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, effective execution of initiatives that leverage our chosen large language model (LLM) and other generative AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Execution of Chatbot Strategy

  • Work closely with product leadership to translate strategic goals into actionable development plans.
  • Maintain and prioritize the chatbot backlog in alignment with the defined roadmap.
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet requirements, quality standards, and timelines.

Feature Delivery & Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA to execute chatbot features, and integrations.
  • Ensure prompt engineering, tuning, and content updates are implemented as specified by product leadership.
  • Coordinate with other product owners to ensure chatbot can utilize other areas of the platform including content, integrations, etc.

    • Operational Excellence

  • Monitor performance metrics such as engagement, AI accuracy, and satisfaction scores.
  • Identify and document issues, ensuring they are triaged and resolved quickly.
  • Provide clear communication of progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

    • Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure chatbot outputs adhere to accessibility, privacy, and ethical AI standards.
  • Support testing and validation of AI behaviors before release.

    • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    Required Qualifications

  • HigherEd or EdTech : 1 year (Required)
  • 2+ years as a Product Owner, with experience delivering features for a chatbot or conversational AI product.
  • Understanding of LLMs, NLP, and prompt engineering.
  • Strong skills in backlog management, agile workflows, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with higher education workflows, technologies, and challenges.
  • Background in tools like Confluence, Jira, Notion, LMS platforms, or CRM systems.
