About the role

BSI is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Industrial Hygienist to join our dynamic EHS team in the Bay Area (Oakland or San Jose, CA). This entry-level Consulting Specialist – IH role is ideal for individuals with 1–3 years of experience in EHS consulting or corporate EHS, with a strong interest in Industrial Hygiene.

In this client-facing role, you will perform exposure assessments, sampling, and monitoring, while supporting compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. You'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects and industries, working alongside experienced consultants in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities :

• Conduct exposure assessments, investigations, sampling, and monitoring
• Support occupational health and safety compliance initiatives
• Assist with IH / Occupational Health & Safety training and audits
• Contribute to sustainability and EHS-related projects (energy use, waste, environmental footprint, etc.)
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to clients
• Collaborate with senior consultants and ergonomic staff on evaluations

The salary for this position can range from $80,800 to $111,100 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
