Key Responsibilities - Specimen Processing, gross examination, tissue prep, documentation of findings,
Master's degree is required from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant training program
Pathologist assistants work in various settings, including hospitals (academic and community), private pathology laboratories, and forensic pathology labs
They do not directly interact with patients but play a vital role in their care by providing accurate and timely information to the pathologist
Work includes dissecting tissues, performing gross examinations, preparing tissues for microscopic analysis, and documenting findings to assist the pathologist in making a final diagnosis
