Job descriptionProvide urgent care and walk-in clinical services to patients across the lifespan Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions Deliver patient care in an IHS or rural health setting Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the RPMS EMR system Adhere to established clinical protocols and quality standards Minimum five years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner required Prior walk-in / urgent care experience required Experience in IHS or rural health settings required Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required Board certification in Family Medicine required Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any state accepted Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Assume leadership roles or managerial responsibilities in interim positions or short-term assignments, honing your leadership skills and management expertise. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Urgent Care for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Dakota. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, with a steady weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm—no late nights, weekends, or federal holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of FNP experience, proven walk-in / urgent care expertise, and a background in IHS or rural health settings.
