About The Position
🔎 Position Overview
A premier outpatient Hematology / Oncology clinic in sunny Oxnard, California 🌊🌴 is seeking a Locum Hematology / Oncology Physician . Enjoy working in a well-supported outpatient cancer center with infusion services—no inpatient consults required and remote call only.
Perfect for a provider who values balance, autonomy, and excellent patient care.
🩺 Position Details
📌 Title : Locum – Physician – Hematology / Oncology
📍 Location : Oxnard, CA
⏱ Schedule
Clinic : Mon–Thurs, 7 : 30 AM–5 : 30 PM
Call : Night call Mon–Thurs
24-hour remote call Fri–Sun
Coverage Dates : Dec 1–21 (additional needs possible in 2026)
🧪 Setting : Outpatient clinic + infusion center
Duties include :
- Diagnosis, staging & precision oncology
- Symptom management
- Oversight of infusion services
- On-site presence during all treatments
- Collaboration with ER / hospitalists as needed (no inpatient service)
Infusion services include :
💉 Chemotherapy & immunotherapy
💉 Blood / platelet transfusions
💉 Hormone therapy
💉 RA injections
💉 Antibiotic therapy
💉 Therapeutic phlebotomies
🧑⚕️ Required Qualifications
🔸 BE / BC in both Hematology & Oncology (highly preferred)
🔸 State medical license
🔸 Medical Oncology Fellowship
🔸 CA DEA + BLS + ACLS
🔸 Malpractice coverage
💵 Updated Pay Rates
Base hourly rate : $500 / hr
Rate Caps
Hourly : $500 / hr
24-Hour Call : $3120 / day

👩⚕️ 1 RN
👨⚕️ 2 MAs
🧾 2 Front desk staff
📊 1 Quality analyst / billing
💉 3 Infusion RNs
Plus long-term NP coverage (M–F) .
Daily census : 15–21 patients
Call volume : ~5 calls / day
EMRs : iKnowMed (clinic) & Cerner (infusion)
🛫 Travel & Credentialing
Local travel preferred
Credentialing timeline : 30–60 days
