Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer / owner / operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products. We are headquartered in MA, funded by institutional capital partners, and currently, have 20+ projects operating and in development in over 13 states. We have a plan to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.

The Organics Recycling Facility Manager oversees the daily operations of the site, ensures compliance and safety regulations, manages staff, and drives continuous improvement in operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support.
• Oversee all aspects of facility operations including receiving, sorting, processing, and outbound logistics of organic materials.
• Monitor and optimize processing equipment.
• Analyzes and develops solutions for any day-to-day operational issues that arise on site.
• Train and supervise site staff.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and enforce workplace safety standards and communicates with all personnel to stress the importance of a safe work environment.
• Manages the work and truck loads on a daily basis
• Contributes to incident investigations to reduce recurrence of accidents / incidents.
• Supports and promotes the philosophy of maintaining an accident / incident free workplace.
• Working with equipment manufacturers and vendors, etc on costs of equipment.
• Develops maintenance plans for equipment.
• Track repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Assist and support outside contractors with on-site maintenance.
• Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures
• Consistent and on-time attendance
• Other duties as assigned.
