Sr Electrical Project Manager Commercial Construction

Richmond, VA (must reside locally or be open to permanent relocation) Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 $110,000 $150,000 base salary

Lingo Staffing is partnering with a leading commercial contractor to hire an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of complex commercial projects focusing on Electrical, including the management of all respective subcontractors. What you'll lead

  • Full project lifecycle ownership : plan, schedule, budget, execute, and close out multi-trade, multi-million dollar commercial projects.
  • Cross-functional coordination with pre-construction, sales, safety, purchasing, CAD / BIM, and fabrication shopsplus owners, GCs, inspectors, and vendors.
  • Subcontractor & vendor management : scope / bid packages, issue subcontracts, purchase materials / equipment, and drive performance.
  • Daily production oversight : track manpower, deliveries, and key KPIs; mentor site leadership to maintain schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Financials & reporting : build / maintain budgets, SOVs, revenue forecasts, cash flow; report key metrics to senior leadership.
  • Change management : identify scope changes, price / submit PCOs, and negotiate approvals.
  • Recovery planning : diagnose schedule, safety, or quality risks and implement decisive corrective actions.
  • Quality & safety first : champion the company's quality program and zero-incident mindset on every site.
  • Multi million dollar projects include ground up projects, dormitories, hospitals, large retail, manufacturing & more

What you bring

  • 510 years of large commercial project management experience; 5+ years in electrical contracting is required, with proven MEP / FP collaboration across trades.
  • Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent vocational training / experience.
  • A career path from Foreman to Superintendent to PM could be a great fit, field work is a plus with a focus on electrical.
  • Polished communicator with strong client, field, and subcontractor relationship skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore and BIM / CAD a plus.
  • Self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision, high attention to detail, and solid problem-solving chops.
  • Willing to work extended hours when needed; able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
  • Nice to have

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (desired)
  • Familiarity with the BIM process
  • Procore project management experience
  • Prior military experience is always a plus
