About the Role:
The Activity Director will plan, organize, and lead a full range of engaging recreational and therapeutic programs to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents. You’ll work closely with nursing, social services, and rehabilitation staff to ensure our activity program promotes well-being and community within our facility.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a monthly activity calendar tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
Lead and participate in group and individual activities
Coordinate community outings, special events, and holiday celebrations
Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers
Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support person-centered care
Requirements:
Certified Activity Director (State of Maryland requirement)
Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred
Strong leadership, creativity, and communication skills
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality
