About Plainfield Correctional Facility
As a part of the Indiana Department of Correction, the Plainfield Correctional Facility promotes public safety by providing meaningful, effective opportunities for successful re-entry. The Plainfield Correctional Facility is a medium security correctional facility for adult males. Plainfield Correctional Facility is located in Plainfield, Indiana. The Plainfield Correctional Facility offers resources and treatment geared toward mental health and substance use, along with multiple educational opportunities. The goal is that through treatment and rehabilitation geared toward everyone, the facility will help prepare incarcerated men to re-enter their community with more skills and confidence than when they arrived.
Role Overview
As a Correctional Intelligence Officer, you will work with a small team of Investigators and Intelligence Analysts in an Indiana Department of Correction facility. A Correctional Intelligence Officer helps contribute to the safety and security of the facility by investigating incidents related to the correctional facility, including but not limited to misconduct by incarcerated individuals or staff, illegal activity by visitors and volunteers, and policy violations, to name a few. A typical day for a Correctional Investigator includes reviewing digital video footage, monitoring phone calls, and investigating incidents. Correctional Investigators typically work 8-hour days Monday through Friday and respond to the facility after hours for significant incidents.
