We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Marion, South Dakota. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with tax credit requirements, managing financial processes, and supporting the organization’s accounting operations. Responsibilities :

• Establish and maintain accurate documentation to comply with 45Z tax credit requirements.
• Evaluate work orders to identify jobs that qualify for tax credits.
• Collaborate with department managers and HR to confirm proper pay rates for various job roles.
• Build and sustain relationships with external vendors to ensure accurate pay rates for completed projects within the plant.
• Provide regular updates and detailed reports to consultants, plant management, and corporate leadership.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger to support financial reporting.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to validate and monitor cash flow activities.
• Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed to support the organization’s financial operations.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger and journal entries.
• Experience with account and bank reconciliations.
• Knowledge of tax credit documentation and compliance processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Background in job costing and work order evaluation within manufacturing or construction industries.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles related to energy or natural resources.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
