Pharmacy Third Party Audit Coordinator

This position is on site in Fargo, ND Position Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pharmacy Third Party Audit Coordinator to support and manage third-party audit activities for a growing network of pharmacy locations. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in pharmacy billing or audit coordination who is looking to take the next step in their career.

The coordinator will work with a centralized audit management team, assisting in the preparation and submission of audit responses, tracking outcomes, and promoting consistent audit practices across all pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in coordinating third-party audits for a network of 90+ pharmacy locations.

Collect and organize documentation needed to respond to audit requests from PBMs and other third-party payers.

Monitor and track audit deadlines, response submissions, and final outcomes.

Work closely with pharmacy staff to gather required information and ensure accuracy and compliance.

Maintain organized records of audit activities using digital tools and databases.

Help identify trends or common discrepancies in audit results to support process improvement.

Support the appeals process under the guidance of senior compliance or reimbursement staff.

Provide administrative and project support to the centralized audit / compliance team.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

1–3 years of experience in a pharmacy operations, billing, or audit coordination role.

Basic understanding of third-party payer audits and pharmacy compliance preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems.

Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%) for training or support visits.

Preferred Experience (Not Required) :

Experience working in a retail pharmacy, long-term care, or mail-order setting.

Familiarity with PBM audit portals and audit documentation processes.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent credential.
