Position Overview :
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects in both the commercial and residential sector. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine electrical scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
- Communicate and collaborate with project managers, distributors, and clients to clarify project details and expectations.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintain and update estimating databases, pricing schedules, and historical cost information.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and project handoffs.
- Assist with value engineering and alternative solutions to improve project efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial construction.Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and general construction practices.Proficiency with estimating software (StackCT prefered).Excellent math, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.Electrical license or degree in electrical engineering / technology is a plus.Why Join Us :
