About the Role :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Parts Inspector to join our quality assurance team in the aerospace manufacturing and distribution industry. The ideal candidate brings strong inspection and documentation experience, with a keen eye for product compliance and non-conformance. You will play a key role in ensuring that incoming and outgoing products meet all customer, industry, and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Verify product conformance to design and specification requirements.
Conduct routine inspections using calipers, gauges, micrometers, indicators, and smart scopes.
Review and validate certifications and part documentation to maintain traceability in compliance with AS9100 standards.
Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming items; perform preliminary disposition reviews.
Participate in auditing, surveillance, and quality monitoring activities.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections, including First Article Inspections (FAIs).
Act as liaison with vendors regarding documentation discrepancies or product non-conformance.
Obtain and maintain Quality Representative Stamps (minimum of 3 customers or as required).
Mentor junior inspectors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Support customer product reviews and provide objective evidence of inspection results.
Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of quality assurance and aerospace inspection experience is a MUST
Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, ring / pin gauges, comparator, etc.).
Solid knowledge of QA procedures and standards including First Article Inspection.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and general PC use.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing or distribution inspection.
Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Additional Details :
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Export Compliance : Must meet "U.S. Person" definition (U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
No travel required.
No security clearance required.
Safety Sensitive Role : No.
This is a first shift position (Start time : 7 : 00 AM-8 : 00 AM, End time : 3 : 00 PM-4 : 00 PM).
Overtime may be required.
