Typical Emergency room RN skill set expected.

Description :

A new freestanding emergency room and urgent care facility will open soon.

This facility will have eight rooms, including one trauma / resuscitation room, a designated triage room, and six hall chairs.

It is expected to see around 90-100 patients per day.

The patient mix is projected to be approximately 60% urgent care level and 40% emergency level patients.

The facility has in-house security available 24 / 7.

Patient-to-nurse ratios are expected to be 3 : 1 for emergency patients, with varied ratios for urgent care patients.

Registered Nurses will manage their own patients without holding them for extended periods due to the limited number of beds.

All admissions will be transferred as soon as possible.

There are no seclusion rooms available.

The facility features telemonitoring, and registered nurses are trained to read strips.

X-ray and CT services will be available on-site, and nurses will perform blood draws.

Shifts include several options, and weekend requirements entail scheduling every other weekend.

Staff will rotate holidays.

There is no on-call or standby requirement, and there are no floating requirements.

Scrubs of any color are permissible.

Cancellation policy allows for some shifts to be canceled during the assignment duration.

Charting will be conducted using a designated electronic medical record system.
