My client is a Cincinnati-based commercial construction and construction management firm dedicated to building long-term relationships through trust, collaboration, and outstanding project delivery. Lead and oversee preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Conduct quantity takeoffs and assess project documentation (plans, specifications, addenda) to ensure pricing accuracy and completeness. Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Preconstruction, Design, and Field teams to align cost estimates with schedule, constructability, and risk considerations. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes, manage bid packages, and build strong estimating networks. Analyze historical data and market trends to refine estimating models and improve accuracy. Present cost estimates to senior leadership and clients, including value-engineered alternatives and cost-saving recommendations. Support negotiations with clients, owners, and subcontractors as needed to secure profitable work.

Experience: 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, preferably with a general contractor or construction management firm. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating) and MS Office (especially Excel). Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners. Leadership: Ability to lead estimating efforts and mentor junior estimators while driving accuracy and efficiency. Local market knowledge and understanding of regional subcontractor pricing a plus.
