Job description

Platform Architect / Engineer

Primary Skill Set :

Expertise in Platform Architecture Design and Engineering Practices , including but not limited to :

Host Platforms : Webfarm, Treadmill, MKS
Compute : Virtual Machines (VM), Containers, Serverless
Storage : Object Storage, File Storage
Databases : SQL, NoSQL, Time-Series
Messaging : Kafka, MQ
Observability : Logs, Metrics, Traces
Security : Authentication, Secrets Management, Audit Trails
Networking : Ingress, Service Mesh, DNS

Key Responsibilities :

Design, engineer, and govern scalable, secure, and resilient platform architectures that enable engineering and operational excellence.

Define and enforce architectural patterns, reusable frameworks, automation practices, and standards .

Lead resiliency design and failure domain strategies to ensure platform reliability.

Develop infrastructure design solutions in collaboration with the CPS Core Engineering team .

Partner with SRE teams embedded in application groups to scale adoption of platform engineering architecture (PEArch) initiatives.

Maintain and govern a comprehensive infrastructure platform catalog .

Keep the broader CPS organization informed of major upcoming deliverables and platform capabilities.
