We're seeking an Electrical / Instrument Technician who's ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter and build a career with a company that's building North America.

About The Role

The primary objective of this position is to perform testing and electrical maintenance repair of the plant's equipment.

What You'll Accomplish

• Troubleshoot and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant (Example : Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers)
• Schematic reading & instrumentation calibration
• Digital and analog PLC program use in troubleshooting
• Low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing and terminating
• Basic mechanical activities (For example : Non-critical welding, laser alignment)
• Perform walk-by inspections & diagnostic checks
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
• This position will work with technicians and management as well as customers. They will communicate and work together to insure the customer's needs are met in a safety and constructive manner.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We're Looking For

Required Education : High School Diploma / GED

Additional Education Preferred : Associates, Technical Degree

Field of Study Preferred : Electrical

Required Work Experience : 1-3 years

Required Computer and Software Skills : General computer proficiency

Travel Requirements : Some local travel
