Job descriptionWork in the Surgery department of a hospital setting Day shifts from 7 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm, four days per week Assignment length is 13 weeks Patient population includes surgical patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment Use of Epic EMR is required Responsible for caring for a group of patients and implementing the nursing process Expected to update and maintain accurate documentation for healthcare team use Completes initial assessment and develops and implements plans of care based on patient needs Must adhere to unit and hospital safety protocols and incident reporting procedures Cannot work continuously at any Carle Health location for more than one year; a six-month break required before returning Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract No travel partners accepted Scrub requirements will be provided upon hire Active Illinois RN license (temp license accepted) in good standing Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience required Three years of relevant nursing experience strongly preferred Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred Epic EMR charting experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted) High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
