    • Alternative Fuel Technician - Ft. Lauderdale, FL

    Base Pay : $25.00 - $50.00 / hr (based on experience)

As an Alternative Fuel Technician , you'll work hands-on with the latest in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Hydrogen, and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging technology . This role offers the chance to directly impact the future of sustainable transportation while building a rewarding, growth-oriented career.

    What You'll Do

  • Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including wiring, switchgear, gauges, actuators, motors, frequency drives, and control panels.
  • Service and maintain mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, engines, valves, intercoolers, aftercoolers, piping, tubing, heat exchangers, and gas dryers.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting & Repairs
  • Diagnose and correct malfunctions in high-pressure gas systems with precision and safety.
  • Execute complex repairs and preventative maintenance to keep stations operating at peak performance.
  • Station Inspections & Upkeep
  • Conduct regular inspections of CNG, RNG, Hydrogen, and EV fueling stations.
  • Perform general site maintenance, including cleaning, minor structural upkeep, and ensuring a safe, professional environment.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage using digital service platforms.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local compliance requirements for alternative fuel operations.
  • Travel & On-Call Support
  • Drive to various sites throughout South Florida to provide service.
  • Be available for occasional on-call response to keep fueling stations reliable 24 / 7.

    • What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or alternative fuel systems preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics, operate diagnostic tools, and use service software.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability for both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs (occasionally 75 lbs with assistance), perform fieldwork in all weather conditions, and operate tools / equipment safely.
